PACIFIC FLYING CLUB AND BCIT TO OFFER "AIRLINE OPERATIONS" Pacific Flying Club is pleased to announce that it is now offering a college program, "Airline Operations", in partnership with the British Columbia Institute of Technology. The program will offer a full range of aviation related courses as well as the Private and Commercial Pilot Licence and Multi Engine and Multi IFR ratings over 16 months. This program is unique in Canada in that all courses are designed to provide the student with a full range of aviation courses ranging from aviation law and WHMIS to dispatching and safety officer training and cockpit resource management. "This is a natural extension of our aviation training" says Lane Trotter, BCIT's dean of transportation programs. "We have the expertise, the established industry connections and a considerable track record in the aviation field". BCIT is recognized as a leader in aviation training. Pacific Flying Club is the largest flight training center in Western Canada and was the first in the Lower Mainland to achieve accreditation with the Private Post Secondary Education Commission of British Columbia. Together, the two schools are offering a program that will produce graduates with the skills required to meet the challenges of aviation in the 21st century. If interested in this program, please e-mail Info@pacificflying.com or Patricia Kennedy of Pacific Flying Club and an information and registration package will be sent to you.
