Pilot Permit.
Private:
Minimum Category 3. A category 1 medical also validates a Private

Commercial:
Minimum Category 1.
Category
1 and 3 medical examinations must be conducted by a Civil Aviation Medical
Examiner (CAME.) Category 4 medical forms may be signed by any physician.
Pacific
Flying Club has two (CAME) doctors on site. Appointments may be booked
via their own offices:
Dr. Reg Harper (604) 581-3348
Dr. Lewis T. Herberts (604) 521-0197
The
cost of a medical examination by the above two doctors is approximately
$90 for a category 3 medical. Payments are to be made directly to the
doctors and not to Pacific Flying Club. Please arrange to have the required
payment (via cash or cheque) available upon your visit.
There
are additional doctors in the Lower Mainland that may conduct aviation
medical examinations. A list of these doctors is available at Dispatch.
British Columbia Medical does not cover the cost of the aviation medical
examination and students are advised to check the cost before booking
with a CAME who may charge significantly more than the aforementioned
$90.
