How is Pacific Flying Club different?
One of our biggest differentiators is that we are a not for profit club and educational institution. What does this mean for you? It means we are not owned by anyone and that any surplus funds go back into improving the facilities and equipment, offering free seminars to our students and members and focusing on quality, not the bottom line.
Being a not for profit club, our students and rental pilots become members of PFC. Membership fees range from $12.95 per month only for the months you fly (Associate Membership) to a full Yearly Membership of $195.00 per year. The advantages of a Yearly Membership over the Associate Membership is that you save $10 per hour on all solo or rental flying and are offered reduced rates on Checkrides as well. Our yearly members also hold Voting Member status so you can participate in the Club's annual general meetings and have a say in how the Club is managed. Our advice to students and rental pilots is that the Yearly Membership is the way to go if you intend to fly 6 of the next 12 months and fly more than 10 hours per year. There is no commitment to renew or maintain your membership beyond your flight training needs although many remain involved and stay in touch with the Club.
We also have Junior Memberships for students under the age of 18, non-flying memberships for people who want to attend our no charge seminars and generally hang out with us and Life Memberships for people who want to be "Lifers"! When you join the Club, you will complete a Membership form.
WE VALUE ALL OUR MEMBERS and take pride in having them consider PFC their aviation home!
