Training - Night Rating

Training – Night Rating

The Pacific Flying Club offers a Night Endorsement course based on 20 hours of flight training. A Private Pilot Licence is required and it is a requirement of a Commercial Pilot Licence. The Night Rating is also useful for holders of a PPL.

Five hours of night dual is required as well as 5 hours of night solo flight time. Ten hours of dual instrument time is also required. Any dual instrument time that the pilot has previously logged can be credited towards the 10-hour instrument requirement. To be recommended to hold the rating, the student must meet the required standard. There is no flight test.

Admission Requirements: Age 17, Category 1 or 3 Medical, Private Pilot Licence, Valid Membership Application on file with Club, Approval of the Executive Director Flight Operations, PTIB Contract signed
