Seminar Description

This seminar provides the student with the required knowledge to safely operate an aeroplane under Instrument Flight Rules (IFR). Included are lessons on IFR Operational Knowledge, IFR navigation, holds, and IFR normal/emergency procedures.

Seminar Learning Outcomes/Competencies

Upon completion of this seminar, the student will be able to:

  • Apply the knowledge to fly an aeroplane under Instrument Flight Rules (IFR).
  • Describe standard operating procedures related to IFR operations
  • Describe emergency operating procedures related to IFR operations.
  • Demonstrate the required knowledge to pass the Transport Canada Instrument Rating Written Test (INRAT)
  • Demonstrate the required knowledge to pass the Transport Canada Instrument Rating Flight Test.
