Class 1 Flight Instructor

Role Description

We are seeking a Class 1 flight instructor for a full-time on-site role working alongside the Manager Flight Operations. There is potential for future growth opportunities within the organization for the right candidate. The Assistant Manager Flight Operations will be responsible for supervision of day-to-day flight training operations/programs including but not limited to:

Pre-solo, 10 hour checks and preflight testing as required at pre-solo, PPL & CPL level including assessment checks.
Work with instructors on corrective training plans
Conduct flight instructor ratings and work on the company's Class 4 Instructor Rating program
Assist with orientation of new instructor hires prior to being on line
Assist in CADOR and SMS follow up
Assist in preparation for onsite inspections or audits by Transport Canada

Qualifications

Class 1 Instructor
Experience in teaching Instructor Candidates
Prior supervisory and management experience a definite asset
Excellent supervision, communication and organizational skills
Capability to work in a fast-paced aviation environment
Must be safety oriented
All aviation-related certifications and/or licenses must be valid
Must be located in a commutable distance to Delta, B.C.
