“My aviation journey began at Pacific Flying Club, where I trained as a student before returning as a flight instructor. I developed strong leadership, decision-making, and communication skills while continuing to learn every day through the mentorship of many experienced Class 1 instructors. I’m incredibly grateful for my time at PFC — it’s where I grew in confidence as a PIC and built lasting friendships with like-minded, hardworking pilots.

After my time at PFC, I started my current job at Pacific Coastal Airlines as a First Officer, hand-flying the Beechcraft 1900 all over BC to beautiful places that I wouldn’t have otherwise seen. I often fly over Boundary Bay on my way into YVR and remember the fun times and great friendships I’ve made throughout my time there.”

"From my very first flight lesson through my final checkride, my aviation foundation was built at Pacific Flying Club through its partnership with BCIT.Here I learned the value of strong fundamentals, disciplined training, and professionalism from day one. After graduating, I was fortunate to be mentored by Pacific Flying Club’s skilled Class 1 instructors, earning my Instructor Rating and later returning to teach at the school. Fast forward to today, I fly as a First Officer on the CRJ-900 with Jazz Aviation, operating a rewarding blend of technically demanding flights into busy international airports and challenging operations at remote Canadian destinations. As the proverb says, trust but verify. A principle that continues to guide my approach to aviation."

"From the first time I stepped into the Club for my familiarization flight, I already felt comfortable, safe and a sense of belonging. The dispatchers are awesome and very welcoming. I got a few smiles from some instructors too. I met the Pilot who I'll be flying with, did the paperwork, walkaround, fly, touched down, and the rest is history. At PFC, safety comes first, always. Throughout my training, I get to fly with different instructors to ensure any gaps or weak points in my training are identified and addressed. This applies on the ground too. I remember going through several mock-up grounds with multiple instructors. Bottom line is ALL wanted you to become the safest pilot you can be. "I did my training at PFC many years ago . I wanted to be a good safe pilot and PFC trained me to become that . Great pilots go on to become crew members on Commercial or Military aircraft . PFC has a large fleet of planes and training is carried out by excellent knowledgeable instructors. The fleet is maintained by a great group of Airline mechanic engineers AME. I have maintained my enthusiasm for flying and love talking anything aviation . Fair winds, Blue skies and safe landings"
